It’s WEDNESDAY!!!!!!! That means AEW is live and on the air!!!! Tony Schiavone, Taz and Excalibur have the call of all the action. The great Cory Strode returns next week (just in time for my vacation!!!)
MJF comes out to start the show and Colorado is thrilled to see him. He says that, because we’re in Colorado, his eyes are a little bloodshot. He is sporting some new gear from AEW shop. He shills for AEW Forbidden Door. He insults some of the new stars that have stepped up since he’s been gone, namely Swerve and Okada. The most egregious new name is Ospreay. He goes over all the names he beat in AEW. He reminds Ospreay that HE’S the best in the world, not Ospreay.
Out comes Rush. He struts out in a white suit and wants the music cut. He claims that, while MJF has been out, he’s been here, working hard. Rush wants a big moment for himself. MJF claims to not understand him and shuts Rush down. He makes fun of the sexually frustrated women in Rush’s life. MJF pretends to put him over. MJF speaks Spanish to him. Rush charges the ring and slugs it out with MJF. Christopher Daniels and security come to break it up. It’s a full on pull apart brawl as we go to a Roderick Strong workout video, ahead of his title match with Swerve Strickland later tonight.
