Guests found several positive features of dorm rooms. These included having a personal reading light and electrical outlet. Guests also liked that ceilings were high, and there was a lot of natural light during the day, plus a ventilation system for fresh air. And despite the size of rooms, partitions afforded some privacy and meant that it didn't feel too crowded.

Guests were easily able to connect to the Internet, and didn't experience any problems staying consistently connected to Wi-Fi.

Communal spaces like the kitchen, dining rooms and lounge area were found to be an adequate size for the number of guests staying at Cheapsleep. While some complained of a busy kitchen, most guests didn't feel crowded staying here.

It seems that cleanliness has some room for improvement at this hostel. While guests frequently saw housekeeping staff, they were unfortunately unable to keep up with the volume of guests using the facilities.

Guests were disappointed that some top tourist attractions weren't as accessible as they had expected. A few guests claimed that they needed to take a bus to most places, and wished that locations like the train station were less than two bus transfers away. But on the positive side, the Kallio district with interesting shops and restaurantswas within walking distance, and direct transportation was available to the airport and downtown.

Guests weren't prepared for the amount of noise they sometimes experienced. With room sizes as large as they are, it was inevitable that someone would come into the room late at night. Also, creaking bunk beds didn't do much to encourage a peaceful sleep.
