XDefiant Season 3 Reportedly Bringing Assassin's Creed: Maps from 2 Beloved AC Games to be Added (2024)

Ubisoft’s free-to-play first-person shooter, XDefiant, is undoubtedly one of the most popular games in the world right now. It’s safe to say that players love engaging in fast-paced combat with other players on Ubisoft’s iconic maps from other titles. There is a lot of chatter within the community after a source recently revealed that this is just the beginning as Ubisoft has plans to add more maps to the game.

As per the source, two maps based on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are coming to the game along with Hidden Dagger, DMR, Famas, and an LMG. At this year’s Ubisoft Forward event, they are expected to make some big announcements and XDefiant players can unlock a special skin just by watching the event.

Maps from two popular Assassin’s Creed games are reportedly coming to XDefiant

As per VideoGamer, a source has revealed that Ubisoft is planning to integrate its Assassin’s Creed franchise into XDefiant by adding two maps from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Not just that, the source confirmed that Ubisoft also plans to add Hidden Dagger, DMR, Famas, and an LMG to the game in the third season.

Unfortunately, players will have to wait for a while to play on these maps since the game is still in preseason. Last year, at the Ubisoft Forward, it was revealed that after the preseason, they will roll out a new season every 3 months, so in Year 1, players will get 4 seasons in total which will include 4 factions, 12 weapons, and 12 maps. So, if Ubisoft continues to follow this roadmap, the third season will begin in January 2025.

This year’s Ubisoft Forward event is all set to take place on June 10th and Ubisoft is expected to show off its popular upcoming titles, including Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Just by watching the event for a specific period of time players can unlock certain rewards, check out the complete list:

• 15 minutes: Earn the Ultra Top Fan Charm in Rainbow Six Siege
• 20 minutes: Earn the Forest’s Dawn Trinket in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
• 30 minutes: Earn The Trailblazer Trinket in Star Wars Outlaws
• 45 minutes: Earn the M60 Eruption Weapon Skin in XDefiant and the Skull and Bones Welcome Firework in Skull and Bones
• 60 minutes: Earn the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1964) in The Crew Motorfest, the Yurei Bushido Gear Set in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the Koi Uchide-no-Kozuchi trinket in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As for XDefiant, the same source also revealed that the second season will be Far Cry themed while the fourth season will be Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon themed, but these are just speculations as Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed anything as of now. In the next patch, Ubisoft has highlighted that they are nerfing the overpowered snipers in the game to make the gaming experience better for everyone.
