In this patch, get ready for a fresh troop addition and a shift towards skill-based challenges. On top of that, expect improved scouting, time & cost reductions for upgrades, and a bunch of handy quality-of-life tweaks.
Builders Apprentice
The Builder's Apprentice is a character in the Home Village who shows up after players reaching Town Hall level 10. Unlocking him requires 500 Gems.
Players can assign the Builder's Apprentice to an upgrade once a day, and they will work for an hour after a cool-down period. It's worth mentioning that Builder Potions do not work on this character, and they cannot be assigned to the forge.
As you level up the Builder's Apprentice, it will cost more gems. The highest level is level eight, and it costs 6,500 gems. At this top level, the Apprentice can slash eight hours off upgrade times each day.
Even though it might seem pricey compared to other stuff you can buy in the game, remember that the Builder's Apprentice is all about the long game. You can level them up bit by bit as you gather gems during your adventures.
Hard Mode
For players seeking more excitement, they’re introducing an optional hard mode for Friendly Challenges and Friendly Wars. This feature is still in development and will be refined in future updates based on your feedback.
You can activate Hard Mode by selecting the checkbox when setting up Friendly Challenges and Friendly Wars. In Hard Mode, defenses do +5% more damage, while attacking Heroes have -10% HP and -15% DPS.
This new mode is all about giving a tougher challenge to experienced players, which could mix things up for the pros. But they're still working on it and might make some changes based on what players say.
Tactical Overview
In the latest Clash of Clans June update, there's a cool new feature called Tactical Overview that will level up base-scoping skills. Right now, players can only do so much when scoping out a base in those quick 30 seconds. But with this update, they can now check defense ranges and gather key info before launching an attack.
Just like when you're checking out your own village or spying on another player's village, now you can pick which defending buildings to target before unleashing your troops, spells, or Heroes. When you choose a building, all others of the same kind light up. No need to panic and search endlessly for that second Air Sweeper anymore!
· Defensive buildings will show their range and setup details (like Inferno Towers being single or multi-target), while Builder Huts will reveal their healing range.
· Resource-producing and storage buildings will display the amount of resources they hold.
· The Clan Castle will show the troop capacity of the defending troops.
· For those with powerful Weaponised Town Halls (TH12+), you can now see the level of your TH weapon.
QoL Changes
· Blacksmith will display "Full!" when any Equipment Ore storage is full and will cycle through full Ore icons.
·When rebuilt, Clan Castle will start in Sleep mode.
· Equipment targeting now takes into account building size to decrease targeting errors.
· A reminder has been added for obstructed defensive layouts in Builder Base during attacks.
· Players can rearrange their Supercell ID profiles when switching accounts.
